Setting Goals Rock!

The power of goal setting is beyond comprehension. It’s easy to say you want to have something, do something, be something, or live something.
But unless you dream it, own it, live it, and make it the most important thing that drives your daily life, you’re just talking the talk, but not really walking the walk.
One might say young people don’t have the mental capabilities or the life experiences to make goals and accomplish them.
Well…..whoever said that certainly doesn’t live in my world.
The 2011 Visa Championships was a huge success for the GAGE Dragons as Sarah Finnegan, Brenna Dowell, and Maddie Des ch all made the National team this past weekend!
Last year in September, Sarah’s goal was to place top 3 in the all around, Brenna’s goal was to place top 6, and Maddie’s goal was to make the national team for the 1st time.
As you may have heard GAGE was homeless for 9 months with no apparent future. Talk about obstacles to meeting your goals, this was a gigantic one. But the 3 girls never wavered from their goals and were determined to reach them ----no matter what.
I’m happy to announce Sarah, Brenna, and Maddie reached their goals BIG TIME and are now working on their next goals for next year.
By the way, next year is the Olympic year and Sarah and Brenna are age eligible for the Olympics. It’s not hard to guess what their goals are------I’m just sayin’…..
